Welcome to Karin's Simple Household Account Book

Karin's Simple Household Account Book is software that you can easily use with simple operation on iPhone. Every day, if you categorize and register the amount you spent, it will be counted. If you specify the monthly target amount, the plus/minus balance up to the latest date will be calculated. Category classifications can be easily increased according to your preference.

Operating environment

1. iPhone 6 Plus (or later)
2. Claris FileMaker Go 13 (or later)

Note: Claris FileMaker Go is no longer available for download from the App Store as of 2022. This application is provided as an archive for existing users who already have FileMaker Go installed.

Getting Started

Start by installing Karin's Simple Household Account Book on your iPhone.

1. Claris FileMaker Go is required. Note that FileMaker Go is no longer available from the App Store. Existing users who already have it installed can continue to use this application.
2. Download Karin's Simple Household Account Book from the release page and open it in FileMaker Go.

How to Use

Karin's Simple Household Account Book can be used with simple operation. (Requires Claris FileMaker Go)

1. Start FileMaker Go on your iPhone.
2. Select "Karin's Simple Household Account Book". The initial login ID/Password is "User/000" — change the password after your first login.
3. Select an animation icon from the home page.
4. Select the button for the category you spent money on that day.
5. Press the "▶" button.

6. Enter the amount spent on that day.
7. You can correct it by selecting the date at the top of the screen.
8. Press the "▶" button.
9. On the item list page, you can apply a date filter to view records.
( You can return to the home page using the paw icon at the upper left of the screen. )

To close Karin's Simple Household Account Book, select "Application Exit" from the menu at the upper left of the home page.

Recommended how to use

For best results with Karin's Simple Household Account Book, we recommend a relaxed approach — don't try to track every small expenditure too precisely.

Enter a planned total amount to spend for the month. (1)(2)
The balance is displayed, reflecting your daily expenditures against the daily portion of your monthly plan. (3)
As amounts accumulate, the balance shows whether your daily spending pace is ahead of or behind your plan. (4)

Balance increases: Shift today's expenditure to tomorrow.
Balance decreases: You spent more than planned today.

So we recommend a relaxed approach — don't track too strictly.
Round up or down on small amounts. Unexpected or one-time expenditures do not need to be entered.
Only enter the expenditures you want to manage for pace.
This way, the balance will gradually increase day by day.
